The Western Highlands of Scotland contain some of the most spectacular mountains in Britain. As opposed to the gentle, rounded slopes found on the majority of mountains across Britain, these mountains are dominated by sheer cliffs and spectacular ridges, with unobscured views for many miles. Amongst those local mountains worthy of mention are Suilven, Stac Pollaidh, Quinag, The Coigach Range, Cul Mor, and a little to the South, An Teallach.
